Spirits are high on the Mount Pleasant High School campus as several spring teams find themselves in the hunt to win the Yadkin Valley 1A/2A Conference with the possibility of strong post seasons.

Softball

Under the leadership of second-year head coach Craig Carter the softball team has had back-to-back 16 win seasons with a deep run in the 2023 playoffs.

The team currently finds themselves with an overall record of 9-5 and a conference record of 4-2 putting them in second place in the conference.

Baseball

After reaching the second round of the 2023 playoffs the baseball team looks to make it back to the post season in 2024.

The team currently finds themselves at 10-7 overall and a conference record of 5-3.

Boys Tennis

The boys tennis team is currently in third place in the conference with an overall record of 8-4 and a conference record of 2-2.

The team is lead by No. 1 singles player Silas Lowder, who has won six of eight matches. Lowder, a sophomore, moves into the Tigers’ top spot after spending last season at No. 3.

In doubles play, Lambert and Lowder are a strong pairing as the team’s No. 1, coming in at 7-2.

Girls Soccer

The girls soccer team is currently in third place with an overall record of 7-5-1 and a conference record of 4-2.

The team is on pace to have its best record since 2017 and have already eclipsed last seasons wins with their 7-0 road win against South Stanley.
