Hickory Ridge Athletics Information

1. DragonFly Registration: All athletic registration this year has been moved to the NCHSAA’s DragonFly system.  REGISTRATION MUST BE 100% COMPLETE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY WORKOUTS/PRACTICES at Hickory Ridge.

 A. You may register for an account and link to Hickory Ridge Middle School at www.dragonflymax.com.

Once you have a created an account, you should complete each step of the registration in order to tryout for a team at Hickory Ridge in 2023-24.  Once you are 100% complete, you may participate in Hickory Ridge athletics. In order to be considered 100%, you must be registered on DragonFly and have a current physical on file (either electronically on DragonFly or as a hard-copy at Hickory Ridge MS

Please hover over the tabs at the top of the page for information for Hickory Ridge MS Athletics and team specific information. Students in 7th or 8th grade are able to tryouts for athletics.  All students must be academically eligible (pass at least 3 core subjects and not miss more than 13 day the previous semester, etc.). Please contact the head coach of the team with any specific sport specific questions.

Sports for the fall season include Football (Combined 7th and 8th grade team), Softball (Combined 7th and 8th grade team), and Cheerleading (7th Grade Team and 8th Grade Team)

Online paperwork and a current physical (within the last 12 months) must be on file prior to the student-athlete trying out.

ISS/OSS Rule.  1 ISS = 1 game suspension .  2^nd ISS assignment or an OSS assignment = Automatic dismissal from team.
