As the winter season heats up, all eyes are on basketball as teams are just getting started with non-conference games early this season.
Here are some teams to watch as the season progresses and we get closer to conference play.
Boys Basketball
Central Cabarrus

They made it to the second round of the playoffs falling on the road to Central Davidson.
Cox Mill
The Chargers sit at 2-3 overall and a 0-0 conference record.
Last season the Chargers finished with an overall record of 12-14 and a conference record of 6-6.
They made it to the first round of the playoffs falling on the road to Weddington.
Hickory Ridge
The Bulls sit at 4-2 overall and a 0-0 conference record.

They made it to the first round of the playoffs falling on the road to Julius Chambers.
