Harris Road Athletic Information
2023-2024 SPRING SPORTS TRYOUTS AND OTHER INFORMATION
1. You must be fully registered in DragonFly (see information below) AND be stamped at a stamping day to tryout for sports. In order to be stamped at stamping day, ALL DragonFly registration must be completed AND your physical must be approved by the athletic trainer. Please be sure to register for the 2023-2024 school year.
2. Stamping Dates (located at the gym)- for those new to Patriot Athletics, a stamped tryout ticket is simply how we communicate to our coaches that your athlete has completed all necessary steps to tryout for a sport. This ticket is obtained at stamping day and must be presented to your coach in order to tryout.
- Stamping Dates for all Spring sports will be 2/29 @ 8am as well 3/11 @ 8am and 4pm. All stamping will take place in the gym.
3. Tryout Dates
- Baseball: March 11,12,13 from 4-6pm
- Volleyball: March 11,12,13 from 4-6pm
- Boys and Girls Soccer: March 11,12,13 from 4-5:30
- Boys and Girls Track: TBD

ALL TICKETS ARE RELEASED ON SUNDAYS AT 8PM THE WEEK OF THE GAME. HIGH SCHOOL CONFERENCE PASSES AND OTHER MIDDLE SCHOOL PASSES ARE NOT ACCEPTED. TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED THROUGH TICKET SPICKET; THERE WILL BE NO TICKETS SOLD AT THE GATE.

ELIGIBILITY
Athletics are open to any 7th or 8th grade student in Cabarrus County.
Academic Requirements: Student Athletes must have passed 3 out of 4 core classes from the previous semester to be eligible for athletics.
Attendance Requirements: Students must have been in attendance for 85% of the previous semester (they cannot have missed more than 13 days in the previous semester).
Eligibility in those two areas will be determined once tryouts have concluded. A student who tries out for a team may later find out they are ineligible once grades and attendance are certified. To avoid this situation, if you feel your child may be in danger of either threshold, please contact garrett.dellinger@cabarrus.k12.nc.us immediately.
ATTENTION ALL CURRENT 9TH GRADERS AND PARENTS
At this time, all athletic paperwork from the school year has been forwarded to Cox Mill High School or Northwest Cabarrus High School. Please direct any questions you have regarding these documents to their athletic department/ athletic trainer. GO CHARGERS and TROJANS!
