Kristyn Embler, a senior, has been selected as The Charlotte Observer Readers’ Choice Spring Athlete of the Year. Embler has excelled as a pitcher for the Bulls with a 9-1 record, 1.85 ERA, and 175 strikeouts over 125 innings over her career.
As a hitter Ember has a .494 batting average with 14 home runs and 36 RBIs over her career. In addition Ember was also a top 15 finalist for NC High School Softball Player of the Year.
She has committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Furman University next fall.
